Price and sign-up

How much is it?

One plan: £12 a month including VAT (£10 + VAT), with every feature and all the AI, including 1,000 AI credits a month. The first 30 days are free with everything switched on, and we do not ask for a card. Pricing.

Why do I sign up on the website?

Subscriptions are set up and managed on our website. That keeps the price down. Then sign in to the iPhone, Android or web app with the same email and password.

How do I cancel?

From your account page on this website, any time. No contract, no notice period.

The apps

Which devices does it work on?

iPhone, Apple Watch, CarPlay, Android phones and tablets, iPad, and any laptop or computer with a web browser. Get the apps.

Does it work without a signal?

Yes. Your diary, pupils and numbers keep working, and anything you change is backed up when the signal returns.

Is it hard to learn?

It is designed for busy instructors, not computer experts: big buttons, plain words, and Show me guides that point at exactly where to tap. If you get stuck, contact us and we will talk you through it.

Pupils

Do my pupils have to pay or download anything?

No. The pupil app is free. Pupils can download Learner Office from the App Store or open their private link in a browser, with no password.

How do lesson reminders work?

They are free and come through the pupil app. They are switched on from the start, with nothing to set up. You choose 24 or 48 hours before. Your pupil gets a notification and taps Confirm I’m coming. If they haven’t confirmed by the end of that day, you get a notification with a one-tap WhatsApp reminder to send from your own phone. Pupils who aren’t signed in to the app don’t get app reminders, and the app tells you so you can send them their link. No paid text messages.

Can I choose which notifications I get?

Yes. More, Notifications has a switch for each kind (messages, cancellations, free times taken, payments, test day and more) and quiet hours so nothing pings you overnight.

Can pupils see each other?

No. A pupil only ever sees their own lessons, and your location only when you share it and are close by.

Switching

How do I bring my pupils over from Total Drive?

Use the import tool in the app. Upload your old app’s file, take photos of its pupil list, or read your pupils out loud. You check everything before it is saved. How switching works.

Can I keep my old app while I try it?

Yes. Nothing in Instructor Office changes your old app.

Help and ideas

How do I get help?

In the app, go to More and tap Ask us for a quick answer. Or email support@myinstructoroffice.co.uk and a person will reply, usually within one working day.

Can I ask for a new feature?

Yes, please do. Email featurerequest@myinstructoroffice.co.uk, or in the app go to More, then Ideas and feature requests. Tell us what you would like it to do and how it would help. We read every request, and lots of the app started this way.

Data, privacy and AI

Where is my data kept?

In your private account with our database provider, Supabase, in a data centre in Ireland, and on your devices. Only you can see your pupils. Privacy notice.

Can I get all my data out?

Yes. In the app, open More, then Your data, then Download everything. You get spreadsheets of your pupils, lessons, payments, expenses and progress that open in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets.

What does the AI do with my recordings?

In the iPhone app, Apple’s speech recognition turns a debrief recording into text on the phone, so the recording stays on your phone. In a web browser, the browser’s own speech service does it (in Chrome, that is Google’s). Only the text goes to the AI to be summarised, then the summary is shown to you. Nothing is saved or sent until you say so. Recordings and text are not used to train AI.

Does money go through Instructor Office?

No. Pupils pay you directly: cash, bank transfer, or by card in the pupil app into your own Stripe account. The money goes straight to you, we take no fee, and card payments are added to the pupil’s account by themselves. You can paste a PayPal, Revolut or SumUp link instead. With none set up, pupils see no pay button.
